Knowing Your Body Type 

The human collective has a vast variety of personal characteristics that mold who we are on the interior, as well as the exterior. When joining the race to lose weight, you must take into account the exclusive sequence of factors that are your body composition. 

The body is complex

Although the human body and composition are seemingly simple, a large amount of scientific study is required to factually classify your body type. On a more complex note, the human body can be classified as ectomorphic, endomorphic, and mesomorphic. A majority of people can be classified as a mixture of each of the latter stated labels.  

Nature’s favorites

First there is the mesomorph. The mesomorph usually happens to be the object of great envy. People in this classification happen to be naturally muscular, and have a god given thinness about them. As if that weren’t enough, the mesomorph loses fat at a faster rate than others, and also happens to have a better metabolism. You can usually spot this seemingly divinely favored creature performing at a professional level, and competing amongst the upper echelon of athletes.  

Born fighting

Up next we have the endomorph. Most of us can identify with the endomorph, while gawking lividly at the mesomorph. Endomorphic people usually acquire and store body fat relatively easy. Often times the endomorph’s metabolism seems to be taking a lunch break, considering this, it is important that people with this body type, stick to a healthy diet, and resist fatty foods. Endomorphs are usually larger in the hips and waist, and often have a pear shape.

Endomorphs have to do extra

If you are reading this and exclaiming, “that’s me”, you will most likely discover that sticking to a strict diet is often times not enough to control your body weight. Some form of AEROBIC EXERCISE, and WEIGHT TRAINING should be maintained.  

The almost lucky ones

Last but not least, there is the ectomorph. These people are the people who are slim no matter what, and like the mesomorph, are often envied. The lean appearance of the ectomorph is natural, and usually the consumption of bad food seems to be indifferent of the ectomorphic body type. Although this sounds like a perk, it is often hard for the ectomorph to gain muscle. These people tend to have high energy, and seem to be hyper all the time. It is still possible for ectomorphs to become out of shape, FAT LOSS FOR THE ECTOMORPH, often proves to be a peculiar task, compared to other body types. 

Can your body type change?

Most often, body types are acquired via DNA, and DNA never changes. The only known way to transform your body type is through the natural process of aging. As most people progress in life their bodies shift to behaving more like the endomorph. The process of the metabolism slowing can be countered by increasing your level of activity.
