Didrex

Didrex is a diet pill that works to suppress your appetite, and is used only for a short period of time with monitored diet and exercise in a weight loss program. It can be addictive, so it is recommended that you only take it for a few weeks. Similar to an amphetamine, Didrex is a sympathomimetic amine.

How It Works

This diet pill stimulates your nervous system while it increases your blood pressure and makes your heart rate faster. Because it is just like an amphetamine, it works on certain neurotransmitters to reduce your appetite. However, Didrex is habit-forming, so you should only use it for a few weeks.

Taking Didrex

It is advised by doctors that you take Didrex when you have not eaten anything yet, so you should take it about one hour before you plan to have a meal. You should take the pill whole, not crushed or chewed. If you don’t take it whole, then the side effects are increased and the long-lasting results of Didrex will be reduced.

You should only take Didrex as you are prescribed to by your doctor, because there is a chance of overdosing. You should never take this pill with any other diet pills or late at night, because this could cause you to have insomnia. If you have missed your dose, then you should never take twice the dose on the next day. Just resume taking the regular dosage given to you by your doctor.

You Should Not Take Didrex If.

It is not safe to take Didrex if you have any of the conditions below. Please check with your doctor if you have ever experienced these conditions:

  • heart disease
  • arteriosclerosis
  • glaucoma
  • thyroid issues
  • anxiety
  • any type of seizure disorder like epilepsy
  • diabetes
  • personal history of drug and/or alcohol abuse.
  • pregnant or have just had a baby and are breastfeeding.
  • taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors in the past two weeks.

Note: When thinking of taking Didrex, you should consult with your doctor first.

The Side Effects

  • Hallucinations or behaving confused
  • Swollen lips, tongue, and/or throat
  • High blood pressure and/or fast heart rate

Didrex is a diet pill that you can get addicted to, so it is recommended that you only use it for a few weeks at the most. The above list has just a few of the serious side effects, and there are less serious ones that you may experience. If you would like a list of the less serious ones, then talk to your health care provider. If you do experience any of these serious side effects, then you need to stop taking Didrex and get emergency medical assistance immediately.

Interacting With Other Drugs

Didrex has reported to interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, insulin, and Tricyclic antidepressants. If you are taking any of these medications, then you should definitely talk to your doctor before you decide to start taking Didrex.
