Bontril
Bontril is a diet pill that suppresses the appetite and is also known as Phendimetrazine. This pill will increase your metabolism too. It is used with a combination of diet, exercise, and behavior therapy in a weight losing program that is closely monitored; and it should only be used for a short period of time.
The Way Bontril Works
This pill stimulates the central nervous system while making your blood pressure rise and your heart rate go faster. It is kind of like an amphetamine in that it works on neurotransmitters to lessen your appetite, and is in an anorexiants class of drugs, because it does just that.
Taking Bontril
Bontril is advised to be taken on an empty stomach about an hour before you plan on eating a meal. If you take the pill crushed or chewed, then it will decrease the long-lasting affects and increase the chances of side effects. So remember that you should take it whole and with a full eight ounces of water.
Bontril needs to be taken only as much as your doctor says that you can, because there are chances of overdosing. Taking it with other diet pills is something that you should not do. You should not take it late in the day either, because Bontril can cause insomnia. If you miss a day of taking your pill, then you should not take it in a doubled dose the next day.
