Adipex
Adipex is a diet pill that you should be taken with a weight loss program that is closely watched. What it does is suppress your appetite, so it is just used for short periods of time. This is because it can be addictive just after a few weeks of using it.
The Way It Works
Adipex is very closely related to an amphetamine, which acts on neurotransmitters to make your appetite decrease. It stimulates the central nervous system while, at the same time, it also makes your blood pressure go up and your heart rate faster. It is, however, advised that you only take it for a few weeks, because it is habit forming.
Taking Adipex
It is highly advised that when you take Adipex, that you have not eaten anything yet. It is better to take it about an hour before you know you are going to eat. You can’t crush or chew Adipex, because it will increase the chances of side effects and make them worse. Doing this will also lessen the long-lasting action of the pill, so you must take Adipex whole.
Since you need to ask your doctor about using Adipex, you also need to be sure that you only take it as much as the doctor tells you, because there are chances of overdosing. Adipex should not be taken at the same time you are taking any other diet pills or supplements. Also, this pill can cause insomnia if you take it late in the day. If you miss one of your doses, then you should not take twice the normal dosage on the next day.
Do Not Take Adipex If…
If you have any of these conditions, then you should not take Adipex. You should always ask your doctor before you decide to take this pill, even if you think it is okay.
- Heart disease
- Arteriosclerosis
- Glaucoma

The Side Effects
If any of these effects do happen to you, you should immediately stop using Adipex, and contact your doctor about the side effects that you have. You may even need to call for some emergency help.
- Hallucinations or behaving confused
- Allergic reactions such as swollen lips, tongue or throat
